My grandfather was Mitchell Blair Irving, the Hamilton's chaffeur, whom you have mentioned on your website. I am attaching an image of my grandfather (and his famous moustache), taken when he was serving with the ASC near to the Somme during WW1. He was originally from Ayrshire and his wife, Mary Ann, came from the Isle of Skye. The lived in Craggan cottage, Balmacara until his death in 1951.-Sally Butler Dec 2016
